Request For Public Comment on Proposed Changes to the 

Housing Choice Voucher Utility Allowance Schedules

 

The Deep East Texas Council of Governments - Regional Housing Authority announces a public comment period for proposed changes to the Housing Choice Voucher Utility Allowance Schedules. DETCOG will receive written comments regarding the proposed changes during a 45-day public comment period, January 12, 2026 through February 26, 2026.  

 

All written comments are to be mailed or hand-delivered to the following address:

A copy of the proposed changes to the PHA's Utility Allowance Schedule is available on our website at www.dethousing.org and is also available at DETCOG’s office located at 1405 Kurth Dr, Lufkin Texas 75904, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.

The DETCOG Housing Advisory Committee will discuss the proposed changes on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at the Houston County Courthouse, 401 East Houston Avenue

Crockett, TX 75835.

The Board of Directors for the Deep East Texas Council of Governments will meet on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Houston County Courthouse, 401 East Houston Avenue, Crockett, TX 75835, to consider adopting proposed changes to the Utility Allowance Schedules for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
